The first issue has been devoted to publishing presentations and recommendations delivered on the occasion of the Regional Workshop organized under the same title by Association of Protestant Development Organizations from Brussels, Belgium and Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation, from Skopje, Macedonia, which took place in Skopje, 22-23rd July 2004. The main objective of the first issue is to enable access to presentations and issues discussed at the Workshop to other CSOs and the wider public in the region. Thus, the publication will further contribute to strengthening partnership between civil society actors vis-à-vis their Governments and EU institutions developed at the Workshop.
Balkan Civic Practices are initiated and published by Balkan Civic Society Development Network and the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC). Balkan Civic Practices represent a result of the quest for our own, “indigenous” understanding of the civic society.
