The AGNA network brings together national associations and regional platforms from around the world to foster greater cooperation across national and regional boundaries, including innovating new ways for civil society organisations to collaborate. On the 12th and 13th June, 40 AGNA members convened in Amman, Jordan for AGNA Annual General Meeting 2019 hosted by Partners Jordan. By strengthening the power of people to organise, mobilise and take action, AGNA builds meaningful opportunities for networks to come together to participate in and influence global governance institutions and processes.
For two days, AGNA members reflected on AGNA’s priorities and set joint goals for the upcoming year. They, also, learned about the state of civil society in the MENA region and they shared their experience and knowledge through different interactive sessions on enabling environment, CSO resourcing and resilience and diversity and inclusion.
BCSDN was represented by our Policy and Advocacy Officer Biljana Spasovska who facilitated a work group discussion on CSO Accountability and participated at the meeting of the working group on Legitimacy, Transparency and Accountability on 14th June.
