BCSDN’ s Policy and Advocacy Officer Biljana Spasovska participated at the panel discussion “Future of Europe” during the second day at the Western Balkans Think Thank Forum, hosted by Institute for Democracy ‘Societas Civilis’ Skopje. The event is an integral part of the 2020 Berlin Process Co-Presidency programme hosted by the governments of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. The forum aims at bringing together think tankers, civil society representatives and academia from the Western Balkans and EU countries participating in the Berlin process to tackle the most pressing political, economic and social challenges. The panel discussed the need and the ways the WB to contribute to the most relevant European strategies and policies. Eventually, the speakers concluded that the EU and the Western Balkans need to be convinced to work together and that only through mutual cooperation they can re-invent democracy, and can tackle the ongoing socio-political and economic challenges.
