TACSO

Between 12th-14th December, a regional conference was organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and TACSO on the topic of “Regional CSOs Networks in IPA Countries” in Sarajevo. The aim of the conference was to contribute to the capacity building of the regional CSO networks and to the structured participation of regional CSO networks in the EU accession process. The conference was attended by 91 representatives from the selected regional CSOs’ networks and projects, governments, donors, and selected media representatives from the IPA countries. The conference was divided in plenary and working groups (also through open space method) directed towards exchanging perspectives and identifying needs for capacity development of the regional CSO networks. Among other, the European Commission presented its future support for regional networks through a call for proposals to be launched under the Partnership Programme in mid-January 2012 with the aim to provide longer term (2+2 years) support to the strengthening of existing formal and information networks in different issue areas.
