ICNL works to build an enabling legal environment for civil society, philanthropy, and public participation around the world. Occasionally, they offer grants CSOs and other actors working to promote and protect civic freedoms, as well as fellowships and internships at ICNL. Some of the current grants announced by ICNL are: proposals to ensure that women human rights defenders can freely operate in online spaces; proposals for small grants as part of its ongoing program aimed at improving the legal protections for freedom of expression and access to information in Uganda; subgrants as part of its “Protecting Civic Space through Civil Society Engagement with FATF” in West Africa; research grants on digital association and assembly rights in Latin America, the Lifeline Embattled CSO Assistance Fund, etc. Read more here.
