The National Foundation announced two tenders for granting financial aid, two calls for applications for the annual award and three calls for expressions of interest for initial cooperation. A tender for Democratization and Civil Society was announced, it aims to support projects and to encourage the development of democratic citizenship and participation in social processes in Croatia and Europe through advocacy, participation in formulating and monitoring public policy, networking, informal education and knowledge transfer as well as through development of volunteerism and social capital and through sustainable development of the local communities. The second tender – Institutional Support for Stabilization and/or Development of Associations' aim is to raise the sustainability of organizations that contribute to the democratization and civil society in Croatia by a three-year financial and technical support to stabilization and further organizational and program development organization. The National Foundation also issued call for expression of interest for Non-profit Media Projects to promote democratization and development of civil society. The second call for expressions of interest: Research on Development of Civil Society is open to all research projects of NGOs, private foundations and public institutions related to the positioning and development of civil society. Finally the international cooperation and development assistance:”From Cooperation to Development” is open to all the associations and private foundations with projects of regional and cross-border cooperation and international development assistance in the field of democratization and development of civil society. International development assistance involves trainings, transfer of knowledge, experiences in the countries of Southeast Europe and the countries in which Croatia participated in peacekeeping missions.
