The Assembly serves as a primary venue for civil society practitioners, researchers, activists, concerned business leaders and representatives from governments to share ideas and experiences on strengthening citizen participation. The annual theme of this year’s gathering is Demanding a New Social Contract: Forging a Sustainable Future Together. There will be three tracks on the programme: Changing Nations through Citizens, Building Partnerships for Social Innovation and Redefining Global Governance. The Youth Assembly will take place on the 3-4 of September; the Preconference on the 4th and the Assembly will take place for the 1st till the 7th of September.
