The EU-Western Balkans Civil Society Forum is a biannual event organised in a country of the region and provides a unique opportunity to bring together a broad range of civil society representatives from the two regions. The next Forum will take place on 10 and 11 July 2017 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main topics are: the role of CSOs in promoting sustainable growth and employment; migration in the Western Balkans; freedom of expression and media; rights and empowerment of women. Around 100 participants, including representatives of a wide range of CSOs from each of the six countries of the Western Balkans, as well as EU and government officials, guest speakers, and representatives of the media, will adopt recommendations addressed to national authorities and the European institutions.
