As a CIVICUS member, BCSDN participated in a pilot program DIGNA which aims to identify how CSOs deliver on their diversity and inclusion (D&I) commitments. In a blogpost, Europe&Southeast’s evaluators share their experience of conducting a D&I audit with BCSD in line with Global Standard commitments under Cluster A (Justice & Equality, Women Rights & Gender Equality; and Lasting Positive Change). Regarding the Global Standard’s commitment to Justice & Equality, the audit helped BCSDN further improve its context analysis process and understand its constituents and stakeholders’ perspectives by providing a tailored framework. On the GS commitment to Women’s Rights and Gender Equality, BCSDN embraced the feminist leadership principles, which creates an environment conducive to developing an open organizational culture. Finally, on the GSs commitment on Creating a Lasting Positive Change, BCSDN approach to D&I can inspire other organizations in the region. Read more here.
