The Balkan Civil Society Development Network has announced a call for the position of Executive Director of the BCSDN Executive Office based in Skopje, Macedonia.
Overview of the position: The Executive Director (ED) is the executive organ responsible for the daily management of BCSDN. The ED is the major administrative and financial official, represents BCSDN with other institutions, networks and donors, and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the network. BCSDN manages a number of grants implemented by the Executive Office (EO) together with the network members, in the region of Western Balkans and Turkey. Therefore, the ED is heavily involved in project development, management and oversight. Additionally, the Director is responsible for fundraising and business development efforts in order to sustain the EO and support the network’s outreach and impact. The position involves collaboration with other networks and partners on a regional, European and global level, and requires substantial contributions to issues related to civil society development, EU integration, and democratic governance. The position includes a substantial travel time. The ED shall have rights, obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the BCSDN Statute and general acts.
