The Protection Working Group under the Global Coalition on Youth, Peace, and Security, and the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth (OSGEY) recently started working on protection of young activists/ human rights defenders/ peacebuilders and other youth who are active in civic spaces. They are currently organizing online global consultations with young people who can share their experiences of being exposed to human rights violations because of their work. These consultations will be used as primary data that will inform the research findings and recommendations to multiple stakeholders on how to prevent this from happening in the future. Young individuals between 15-29 years old who have experienced threats and challenges because of their work in the past, and are willing to share their experience in an online consultation are invited to fill out the survey.
