E-mail Print PDF

According to some estimates, the annual revenue of the CSO sector accounts for 4.5% of GDP and their annual expenditure for 2.4% of GDP, indicating that the CSO sector has considerable impact on the economy in the country. Sources of the revenue include: membership fees (27%), the Government (21%); international donations (21%); domestic donations (18%); contract-commissioned services (9%); municipal funds (2%); other sources (2%). As the study by ICVA for the period 2001-2002 showed, CSOs are heavily dependent on foreign donors for support to their activities.
