According to the data collected for 2008 by AJPES - Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Public Legal Records and Related Services, the share of total revenues of all 20.103 associations, which came from budgetary and other public sources, was 23, 8% - which amounts to 123.113,405 EUR.

Distribution of state funding is coordinated and implemented by Ministries and governmental offices on the basis of public procurement procedures (in accordance with EU regulations) or public call for proposal, which are legally binding.

Lottery funds are distributed (according to the public call for proposals) by FIHO – Foundation for Financing Disabled and Humanitarian Organizations in Republic of Slovenia. In 2010 it will allocate 14.643,670 € to disabled and 7.885,060 € to humanitarian organizations.
