CfA: ENoP Agenda for Change – Increasing the Impact of EU Development Policy, Public Conference, Brussels (Deadline 20.02.2012)

E-mail Print PDF

The European Network of Political Foundations – ENoP is organizing a conference on the occasion of the third International Day of Democracy and dedicated to the subject of: Agenda for Change – Increasing the Impact of EU Development Policy which will take place on the 27th of February. The Agenda for Change, has been presented as a new strategic document that will guide the EU development policy in the years to come. It seeks to achieve more coherence amongst EU policies in order to foster development in its external relations. But it also places a new and laudable emphasis on human rights, democracy and other key elements of good governance. Although the new approach comes timely and sets the right framework, its impact very much depends on its implementation. How will the challenges regarding its objective be addressed, in order to achieve better policy coherence? The discussions will be led by representatives of EU institutions, development practitioners from European NGOs, and political actors and CSO representatives from the EU partner countries in the Southern and Eastern Neighbourhood.
