BCSDN gladly announces that Biljana Spasovska has been appointed as the new BCSDN Executive Director. Biljana has been with BCSDN since 2013 performing the role of BCSDN Policy and Advocacy Officer. She has assumed the role of BCSDN Executive Director as of 1 September 2020 when Ilina Neshikj, officially ended her term and her 10 years of working in BCSDN. Our team expresses its gratitude to have an opportunity to work and learn from her, contributing to a more conducive environment for civil society development in the Balkans, and wishes her the best of luck in her future personal and professional endeavors.
With Biljana as the new ED, BCSDN remains dedicated to keeping up the high standards for cooperation, partnership, and accountability both internally and externally building trust with our members, partners, donors, and stakeholders. BCSDN also remains committed to continuing its efforts for building partnerships and strengthening collaboration with other actors to promote the civic space and the civil society environment, and to empower CSOs to be influential actors for ensuring sustainable and functioning democracies in the Balkans.
