Under the coordination of VESTA, an initiative called “Citizens for Europe” was launched in Bosnia and Herzegovina aimed to insure the commitment of the government officials’ made to the citizens. A public support is needed for the necessary steps to be taken in the sectors of energy, environment, agriculture, rural development, labour and employment, in order to improve the living standards of ordinary citizens and to get the country closer to the EU. During the course of this year, 33 civil society organisations gathered under the initiative, and four public sessions were held with the authorities. Recommendations were given by Citizens’ for Europe, based on comprehensive consultations with relevant CSOs and experts from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
