On Friday, 20 September September 2019, CRNVO organized an annual conference on a topic: Civil Society in Montenegro – How to get an Inclined Enabling Environment for Civil Society? The conference was opened by Ana Novakovic, the Executive Director of CRNVO. The conference encompassed the topic about the environment in which operates the civil society in Montenegro today. The conference raised the question of how, and in which way was changed the civil society in Montenegro, after two decades since the founding of the first associations and the first action in the non-governmental sector. The event also recalled on several factors that contribute to the current environment for CSOs activism, such as freedom of association, freedom of expression, as well as about the existing laws, strategies for civil dialogue, transparent financial sources, as well as about permanent capacity building in the civil society sector.
