On 3 September 2021, BCSDN held an online presentation to reflect on last year’s events affecting the CSOs’ sustainability and the most important findings of each of the seven dimensions covered by USAID’s CSOSI methodology: legal environment, organizational capacity, financial viability, advocacy, service provision, sectoral infrastructure, and public image. The report presents that, overall, CSO sustainability improved slightly in 2020, mainly due to CSOs’ abilities to adapt to and mitigate the effects of the pandemic. The report for North Macedonia, prepared by BCSDN based on discussions with a panel of country experts, is included in the 2020 CSOSI for Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia and will be released by USAID and FHI 360 in the upcoming period.
