The high-level political forum meeting on sustainable development (HLPF) 2021 was held from 6th- 15th July, with the support of the Economic and Social Council. Under the theme “Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic that promotes the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development: building an inclusive and effective path for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development”, it discussed ways to ensure a sustainable and resilient recovery from COVID-19, as a method to realize the 2030 Agenda. Ministers and other participants explored different aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic response, its impacts, international cooperation, etc. 42 countries completed voluntary national reviews (VNRs) of their implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
