NGOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina Have a Voice in the Council of Ministers!

The Constituent Session of the Advisory Body of the Council of Ministers of BiH for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations was held in Sarajevo on December 1st, 2020, which is a very important step in the development of institutional cooperation between the authorities and non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Advisory Body of the Council of Ministers of BiH for Cooperation with NGOs has seven members elected through a public call of the Ministry of Justice of BiH, with many years of experience in creating, monitoring and implementing public policies relevant to creating a supportive legal, institutional and financial environment for NGOs in BiH: Emsad Dizdarević, Nada Golubović, Muamer Hodžić, Lahira Sejfija, Aida Daguda, Ilija Trninić and Tomislav Majić.

At the Constituent Session, the Rules of Procedure of the Advisory Body of the Council of Ministers of BiH for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations were adopted, and Aida Daguda was elected as a Chair of this body. The deputy chairman is Ilija Trninić.

The Advisory Body is in charge of improving cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and non-governmental organizations, with the aim of creating an enabling legal, institutional and financial environment for the NGO sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Agreement on Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
