During 13-14 December, BCSDN Research partners gathered in Belgrade for a two-day workshop dedicated to exploring the topic of development effectiveness and building their capacities for strengthening and promoting cooperation for effective development. The regional training on effective development cooperation is part of the activities under BCSDN’s three-year project supported by the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE). Within the first day of the workshop, to dive deeper than the “textbook CPDE experience” we had testimonials by our partners who have had closer cooperation with CPDE and who selflessly shared their personal experience gained through engagement within CPDE activities.
The second day of the workshop was dedicated to discussions around our flagship product – the Monitoring Matrix and the implementation of the networks’ joint research and advocacy activities. Through extensive discussion, it was once again confirmed that the Monitoring Matrix reports play a crucial role in the advocacy processes led by our network and our research partners, being one of a kind source of data and information for the area of enabling environment for CSOs. The further steps for the 2022 activities, as well as the need for extra effort regarding the communication of the Monitoring Matrix findings, were established during the workshop.
BCSDN stays dedicated to advancing all research products based on which the network and members could base their advocacy efforts and continue in the pursuit of their mission for ensuring enabling environment and advancing democratic practices, as well as increasing the effectiveness of CSOs as development actors.
