The new Twitter feature marks the profiles of the Serbian media houses that are connected and perform their activity in line with the politics of the Serbian government. The feature labels several Serbian media outlets, among which: Srpski Telegraf, Kurir, Informer, Politika, and three free-to-air channels – Happy, Prva TV and B92, RTV Pink’s online portal, as well as the news agency Tanjug. The official release issued by Twitter defines state-affiliated media as “outlets where the state exercises control over editorial content through financial resources, direct or indirect political pressures, and/or control over production and distribution”.
