To kick start the Global Accountability Week 2021, we gathered together with our partners for an online workshop to explore a more dynamic approach to accountability. Our aim was to take a deep dive into accountability by presenting the Global Standard for CSO Accountability and to provide space for sharing accountability approaches and mechanisms for improving the way we engage our those we try to serve.
We had the honor of having Elisa Lopes and Bao Han Tran Le from Accountable Now, The Secretariat of the Global Standard for CSO Accountability who talked Why and How networks and CSOs can improve their accountability. Through their presentation, the participants got more familiarized with the Global Standard for CSO Accountability and the Dynamic Accountability Concept. They also shared with participants the Rendir App, a useful self-assessment tool for CSOs to improve their accountability.
BCSDN Executive Director – Biljana Spasovska elaborated on the topic of The Global Standard for CSO Accountability in practice. By sharing BCSDN experience and lessons learned she talked what we are doing to improve our accountability internally; and how we support others externally through our Regional Civil Society Development Hub, and as part of our within the Global Standard for CSO.
